Inter-School Spell Bee — First Place
Our Grade 4 team won the district spell bee, clearing every word in the final round without a single miss.
At Greenwood, we nurture curious minds from the earliest years onward. Through caring guidance, engaging learning experiences, and a strong sense of community, we empower every child to discover their potential, build confidence, and grow into a capable, compassionate, and confident individual.
At Greenwood, education goes beyond the classroom. Since 1974, we have created an environment where students are encouraged to explore ideas, develop practical skills, and build meaningful connections. With personalised guidance, real-world experiences, and global opportunities, we prepare every student to learn with purpose and lead with confidence.
More About UsThree commitments the school is held to
To teach every child to think carefully, ask freely and work honestly — and to make that education reachable regardless of what a family can pay.
A school where a child's question in the morning becomes an experiment, a story or a garden bed by the end of the week.
Curiosity before certainty, kindness to the people around us, and a standard of honesty we hold staff and children to equally.
An independent school since 1974, teaching children from their first year of primary right through to Grade 10. Small classes, teachers who stay, and a school day built around how children actually learn.
Read Our StoryPrimary classes are capped at 24 with a class teacher and a teaching assistant, so nobody spends the year quietly falling behind.
Reading, numbers and science are taught with stories, blocks, gardens and experiments — not worksheets alone. Play is part of the timetable, not a break from it.
Gated campus, staffed gates, supervised play and a full-time school nurse. Transport runs on fixed routes with an escort on every bus.
Attendance, homework, fees and school notices all sit in the parent portal, alongside two open days a term with your child's class teacher.
What our primary children make, grow and win
Our Grade 4 team won the district spell bee, clearing every word in the final round without a single miss.
Our junior athletes finished first overall at the district meet, winning the relay and placing in seven of the nine events.
Children grow tomatoes, spinach and beans in raised beds behind the primary block, and the harvest goes to the school kitchen.
Grade 5 built a simple weather station and now reads the rainfall and temperature into a chart outside the assembly hall every morning.
Every Friday afternoon is hobby hour — chess, clay, storytelling, gardening, dance and the reading club, chosen by the child.
Two music periods and one art period a week for every class, building up to an Annual Day that every child takes part in.
Fun, learning and growing together
All grades plant saplings, sort waste for the compost bin and take a nature walk around the school grounds.
Races, relays and team games for every grade, finishing with the parents' race and the prize giving.
A fun-filled day where students explore painting, drawing, crafts and creative activities with their friends and teachers.
Students from different grades showcase exciting experiments, creative projects and hands-on discoveries.
Guest readers, costume characters and a book swap for Montessori to Grade 5, with a story corner running all morning.
Singing, dance, magic and stand-up from Grades 1 to 10 — every child who signs up gets a turn on the stage.
Grades 3 to 10 take on puzzles, tangrams, mental-maths rounds and a team quiz. No calculators allowed.
The four houses compete across athletics, kho-kho, chess and quiz for the house shield. Grades 4 to 10.
Class performances, dance, drama and a food stall run by parents. All grades take part and families are welcome.
Games, stalls and team events for students and parents together, ending with a picnic lunch on the field.
The refurbished primary block adds a reading room, an art room and a covered play area for the younger classes.
Term-wise fees for every class are now available in the parent portal, along with transport routes and the concession form.
Every class from Grade 1 to Grade 5 hosted a guest reader, and the junior library added 400 books over the week.
Joining Greenwood, step by step
Come and see a normal working day. Walk through the classrooms, meet the class teacher and ask whatever you like. No appointment needed on a Tuesday or Thursday morning.
One form for the child: date of birth, previous school if any, and the grade you are applying for. Bring the birth certificate and two photographs.
For Montessori and Grade 1 this is a play session, not a test. From Grade 2 upwards there is a short written assessment in language and maths, to place the child in the right group.
You will hear within a week. Fees are paid term-wise, and the office will set up your parent portal login on the day you confirm.
Seats in each class are limited to 24. Where applications exceed seats, siblings of current children are considered first, then the order in which completed forms were received.
Three years by the first of June, for the Montessori group. We do not run a créche below that age. Children joining Montessori do not need to be toilet-trained before they start — the assistants help.
Not for Montessori or Grade 1 — those are play sessions where we watch how a child settles and plays with others. From Grade 2 there is a short written assessment in language and maths. It decides placement and support, not admission.
Yes, on fixed routes with a female escort on every bus. Transport is billed separately from tuition and depends on the route, so tell the office before the term begins if you move house.
Fees are collected term-wise across three terms rather than as one annual payment. Concessions are assessed by the office against household circumstances and are applied to tuition only.
Yes, where a seat is free in that class. Bring the transfer certificate and the last report card from the previous school, and the class teacher will tell you what needs catching up before the child starts.
Through the parent portal, which is set up for you on the day you confirm the seat. Attendance is marked by the class teacher each morning and appears there the same day, alongside homework, fee statements and school notices.
